Operated by the Sparwood Futures Society
The Mountain Shadows Campground is operated and maintained by the Sparwood Futures Society on land leased to the Society by the District of Sparwood. The Sparwood Futures Society was formed in 1986, bringing together a group of community minded individuals and organizations.
The founding organizations include Sparwood Lions Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Knights of Columbus, Legion, Coal Miner Days Society, Chamber of Commerce.
