Operated by the Sparwood Futures Society
The Mountain Shadows Campground is operated and maintained by the Sparwood Futures Society on land leased to the Society by the District of Sparwood. The Sparwood Futures Society was formed in 1986, bringing together a group of community minded individuals and organizations.
The current and founding member organizations include:
Coal Miners Days Society , Elk Valley Recreational Society (Golf Club), Fraternal Order of Eagles, Kinsmen Club of Sparwood, Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club of Sparwood, Sparwood Chamber of Commerce , Sparwood Food Share, Sparwood Legion , Sparwood Lioness Club, Sparwood Lions Club
